A Child Is Missing Holds Golf Tournament Fundraiser

Head Coach Tony Sparano and former NBC 6 Anchor Tony Segreto are inviting sports fans and golfers to join them for a special Golf fundraiser on Monday, April 12, at Grande Oaks Golf Club, in Davie. Dolphin Jim “Crash” Jensen ret., and present Dolphin greats, along with Joe Rose, Leonard Marshall, New York Giants 2 X Super Bowl winner, will be on hand to add some star-power to the event. A Child Is Missing and Forever Family will benefit children from the fundraiser.

“There will be separate tournaments for ladies and men,” said Sherry Friedlander, Founder and President of A Child is Missing. “So Lady Golfers, please join us. A woman won the putting contest last year and the longest drive!”

April 9, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM a ParTee is open to everyone, at the Crowne Plaza in Fort Lauderdale, featuring some wonderful silent auction prizes such as, vacation stays at Serenity Cottage, Staniel Cay, Exumas, Bahamas; and Goodbread Inn, St.Marys, Georgia. A Tiger Woods Autographed Print, Travel Pro Luggage, Fast Boat Excursion and dinners at Season’s 52, The Capital Grill, are just a few more of the items to bid on. For the Hole-In-One, Maroone Ford has donated a 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible!

Enjoy great food, entertainment and fun! Crowne Plaza is at the corner of SR 84 and Federal Highway. The party is free for registered golfers and $25.00 per person for those not registered. Funds raised benefit both groups.

A Child Is Missing Alert Program is a national non-profit that assists law enforcement in the early search and recovery of missing children, the elderly (often with Alzheimer’s) college students living on campus, and the disabled in the first hours of their search. Over 675 recoveries.
