It was an emotional scene in a Coquitlam neighbourhood early this morning as a missing autistic boy was reunited with his family.
Thirteen-year-old Jiwan Jin was first reported missing by his parents around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Coquitlam Mounties say the teen wandered off from his home near North Road and Como Lake Road and wasn't seen or heard from again.
A command centre was set up on Como Lake road to coordinate search and rescue teams, who combed the area. Officers from both the Burnaby and Coquitlam RCMP detachments aided the search. The Air One helicopter was also dispatched to conduct an aerial search.
The boy was located inside the King George SkyTrain station several hours later by Surrey RCMP members and Transit Security. He was dropped off at his family's home shortly after midnight. Family and friends surrounded Jin, hugging him and giving him a large white teddy bear.

Relief over safe return in Australia
IT WAS a night wracked with worry and tears but which thankfully had a happy ending for the family of missing Nelson Bay woman Jeannine Chasteauneuf.
The 86-year-old, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and speaks only French, was reported missing from her Canomii Close home about 7.40pm on Monday night after failing to return from her daily walk.
A search was launched on Tuesday morning with police using a sniffer dog to try and locate the grandmother. In the end she was found by SES workers just metres from her home, asleep in bushland off a walking track between Canomii Close and Talean Road, with only minor scratches on her legs.
Mrs Chasteauneuf's son-in-law Roland Mortimer said his family were 'overwhelmingly relieved' to have her home safe and sound.
"We're very, very happy.
"We went from a lot of crying to a lot of smiles.
"I was so impressed with the police and the SES, they were just so professional and focused on finding her."
Tomaree SES deputy controller Simon Whorrod said the elderly woman was a little bit disoriented but otherwise fine.
"It's a fantastic ending to find her in such a short time," he said.
"She was taken to hospital for a check up but really there were only some minor cuts and abrasions by the look of her."
