Missing Alzheimer’s William Wethington Found After Golden Alert

The search for an Alzheimer's patient who walked away from his home ended happily early Monday morning.

Lexington Police issued a Golden Alert for William Wethington, 74, after he walked away from his home on East Loudon Avenue Sunday night.

About 3 hours after issuing the alert, someone found Wethington walking on Elkchester Road, off Old Frankfort Pike, just inside Woodford County.

That is an 11-mile hike.

Wethington's family tells 27 NEWSFIRST he is fine and was just wet and cold after the long walk.

Robert Osborne, Jr. Found Safe

SYCAMORE TWP. -- A man from Sycamore Township who was reported as missing Tuesday morning has been found.

Police say 56-year-old Robert Osborne, Jr. was found safe in Newport, Ky. He reportedly left his residence in the 3900 block of Belfast Avenue at 7:30 a.m. without taking his required medication. Osborne suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia.

Osborne was driving a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette with Ohio plate number 791YDG and was located around 10 a.m.

Albert Brumett, 72, Missing

CLOVERPORT — A Golden Alert has been issued for a Breckinridge County man who, according to officials there, could be anywhere.

Albert Brumett, 72, has dementia and other health concerns, according to Cloverport Fire Department's Jimmy Pate, who also serves as a constable in Breckinridge County.

According to Pate, Brumett walked away from his home Wednesday at 7 a.m. He reportedly headed east from Cloverport on a railroad line.

Brumett is described as a light-skinned, 130-pound man with gray hair and a beard, and blue eyes. He was last wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes and a plaid long sleeve shirt.

Buck Combs Missing

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is looking for help finding an 81-year-old Petersburg man who has been missing since approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Buck Combs was last seen at the Kroger in Walton, where he dropped off his wife and daughter. When they came out of the store, Combs was gone.

Combs is diabetic and has early-stage dementia, police said. He does not have his medication with him.

He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 250 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a plaid jacket over a brown-striped flannel shirt, with brown pants and black shoes.

He was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup with Kentucky temporary tags bearing unknown numerals.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Earl E. Vittitow, 88, Found Alive

ELIZABETHTOWN — An elderly Elizabethtown man missing since Monday night was found alive just after 8 a.m. Tuesday in a field near the subdivision where he lives on Nightingale Drive.

Earl E. Vittitow, 88, was reported missing around 7:15 p.m. Monday. Vittitow suffers from dementia, according to an Elizabethtown Police Department press release.

After being found, Vittitow was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, approximately 75 people were assisting in the search effort. They represent the following agencies: Hardin County Emergency Medical Services, Central Hardin Fire Department, Radcliff Fire Department, Valley Creek Fire Department, KY 6 Air Search, Hardin County Bloodhound Association, Jefferson County Bloodhound Association, Technical Ropes and Cave Emergency Response, Elizabethtown Police Department, Elizabethtown Fire Department and the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.

James Warren Martin Found

INDEPENDENCE, Ky. -- James Warren Martin, who was reported as missing Monday, was found late Monday night in Tennessee.

Martin was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road in Oneida, Tenn., over 200 miles away from Independence, Ky.

Police pulled Martin over and found him to be in good health.

A critical missing “Golden Alert” was issued Monday by Kenton County officials for the 84-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease after he went missing.

Dorthy Holbrook, 77, Found in Virginia

ASHLAND, Ky (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police say an elderly woman reported missing from Flatwoods, Ky was found in Virginia.

Troopers tell WSAZ.com that Dorthy Holbrook, 77, was found in Damascus, Virgina around 1:00 a.m. Friday.

They say Holbrook has dementia and a history of becoming disoriented.

Holbrook was reported missing around 1:15 p.m. Thursday. At the time, she was seen driving a dark green 1998 Chevy Lumina.

Troopers say they believe Holbrook is okay. They say family members are headed to Virginia to get her.

Damascus is located near Bristol, Virginia.

Dorthy Holbrook, 77, Missing Adult

ASHLAND, Ky. -- The Kentucky State Police are issuing a missing person alert for Dorthy Holbrook, 77.
Holbrook was reported to be last seen in Flatwoods, Ky. She was last seen driving a dark green 1998 Chevy Lumina with Kentucky registration plate 676KAS. The vehicle also has a plate on the front of the vehicle that has a brown horse and a colt on top of an orange background.

Holbrook is 5-foot 4-inches tall and weighs 250 pounds. she also has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing navy blue pants and a navy blue shirt that is trimmed in white.

Holbrook has dementia and a history of becoming disoriented.

Linda Nickel Body Discovered

Louisville Metro Police have found the body of 61-year-old Linda Nickel.  She was found in the woods behind the subdivision where she lived on Ledges Drive in Middletown.

Louisville Metro Police and emergency management issued a Golden Alert late Tuesday for Nickel.  The 61-year-old woman had last been seen in the vicinity of the 12500 block of Ledges Drive about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday.

An alert e-mailed by authorities said Nickel may have "memory or mental impairment."  Nickel appeared to have walked away from her house without her car, keys, or purse.  She was not wearing a jacket, the alert said.
